It's a non-verbal, black-theatre and multi-visual performance interveaving the tales of Alice in Wonderland and Gulliver's Travels.Featuring live performance, black light theatre effects and magictricks, the National Black Light Theatre Prague will take you on aspectacular journey to the wonderland with Alice and Gulliver.
BlackLight Theatre or simply 'Black Theatre', is a theatrical performancestyle characterized by the use of black box theatre augmented by blacklight illusion. This form of theatre is originating from Asia and can be found in many places around the world. It has become a speciality of Prague, where many theatres use it.
Thedistinctive characteristics of 'black theatre' are the use of blackcurtains, a darkened stage, and 'black lighting' (UV light), pairedwith fluorescent costumes in order, to create intricate visualillusions. This "black cabinet" technique was used by Georges Melies,and by theatre revolutionary Stanislavsky.
